Niet dat ik hem kende maar ik kwam het tegen zoals dat vaak gaat.

Wat info:
Montreal has a strong Sengalese musical community - and one of the stars of the local scene is guitarist and vocalist .
Senegal is not only one of West Africa's most exciting travel destinations, it is also a hotspot for West African music. For decades, musicians Youssou n'Dour, Baaba Maal , Ismael Lo amongst others have been responsible for the global spread of Senegales' musical styles like Mbalax and Yele .
Oumar Ndiaye Xosluman, was raised on the nearby Senegales island of "Ile de Goree", but now lives in Montreal. His career started with the first african boy-group, the "Golden Boys Of Dakar" in 1987. Today he is a regular part of the Montreal world scene.
This concert was part of The Nuits D'Afrique Festival and was recorded at the intimate Club Balatou in Montreal. With guitar in hand, this African singer/songwriter managed to mesmerize his audience with a mixture of moving Mbalax rhythms and acoustic sounds. He was joined by countrymen Diely Mori, Sadio Cissoko and Assan Thiam.
Groeten,
Harry
